Christopher West
The portrait project of pastelist Christopher West began in the small town of Dixon, New Mexico, three years ago. Starting with portraits of his family, West expanded to about eighty large-scale portraits of members of the community, and the project is ongoing.
In November of 2022, Dr. Robert Bell, a collector and print expert residing in Santa Fe, acquired seventy of the portraits. Bell, in cooperation with West and Rift Gallery, donated the entirety of the collection to date to the Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. A show and accompanying book to document the project are anticipated.

Rift Gallery is accepting portrait commissions. The individual portraits are pastel on paper, 27” x 40”, priced at $1750 each, framed with hard rock maple (not including NM sales tax and shipping as applicable).
