Rift Gallery, established in 2005, represents exceptional artists working in a wide range of media, from 2-ounce tiny plates to 15-ton boulders. From the beginning, we have envisioned a well-made and calm environment populated by a thoughtfully curated selection of art and craft made by human beings.

This is a place where you can find authentic pieces that are simply not available elsewhere.

The focus at Rift Gallery is on ceramics, sculpture, pastels, painting, and mixed media work, seamlessly integrated in an inviting and serene space. There is no divide between art and craft, or for that matter, between making and living. We represent a small group of artists and only rarely do we host special exhibitions, choosing instead to represent our artists well on an ongoing basis as they continue to develop and deepen in their artistic explorations. Once you come in, you will see what we mean.

We also have a small section of our favorite gift items from Japan, including Tamanohada soaps, Kawamanu furoshiki, and the finest Rishi loose leaf teas. Once you have tried them, they will become your favorites too.

Our outdoor section includes a spacious display area with a selection of stone tables, benches, and fountains, each one fabricated on site.

What’s more, the spectacular setting along the dramatic rift valley serves as a backdrop for the work, and the gallery backs up to a gorgeous canyon hike. We are off the beaten track in more ways than one.
